What a unbelievable show! Dancing, clapping, singing, sways, the works! We really enjoyed the set and getting photos with you even though James was still a bit sweaty! Thanks to all that came out to see us and to the big China Drum fans that came to see us as well.
China Drum were class, brilliant on stage and off. Their set went down a treat and almost all the crowd knew all the words to all their songs! Hopefully one day that’ll be us!

The new stuff I’ve been working I feel brings new elements into the bands original ‘strictly-indie’ motivation. I’ve been giving James some simple chords to play around with which I feel gives dan an open canvas to get creative with the rhythm section. With regards to The lead guitar parts, I’ve tentatively tried to bring in more distorted riffs and threw the odd pentatonic run into the mix to give it that kick up the ass. The energy on stage is becoming even more electric with us getting a feel for our new bigger, more atmospheric and often explosive drops. Expect some groove based sequenced material in the new stuff along with experiments with time signatures and off beat percussion. We can’t wait to get new stuff done and have tons to play around with! Image wise I’ve had it drummed into my skull left right and centre and so there’ll be plenty of skinny jeans, Parker jackets but first person to see me in a tie gets a personal prize from me!

It’s a week away!
After the final date of our tour we have been waiting for this one! There are posters up around Newcastle University and tickets are selling fast! If you haven’t got yours yet drop us a message on Facebook or via email so you can hear our Indie guitars next friday!

As some people may be aware from our recent post on Facebook, our drummer Daniel has decided to leave the band so he can focus on his new family and on new ventures. May 10th will be our last gig with Daniel so come down to see his last show! On the other hand, this means we are looking for a new drummer, so if you think you might be interested, drop us a email at info@emergencydoorrelease.com.
So, tour was fun. All the places we went thrilled us, our single went down a treat and we made so many friends along the way; bands, venues and people! Hopefully won’t be long until we’re back on the road with new material for everyone (and maybe a EP shhh!)
Also, we’re currently making a tour video for Chester Zoo with the pictures/videos that we took on the road so look forward to that over at youtube.
